The Pantone Colour Matching System expands upon existing colour reproduction systems such as the CMYK process.
The CMYK process is a standardised method of printing colour by using four inks - cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
The majority of the world's printed material is produced using the CMYK process. The Pantone system is based on a specific mix of pigments to create new colours referred as spot colours.
The Pantone system also allows for many special colours to be produced such as metallic and fluorescent colours.
Pantone Colour Matching Guide
We can use the Pantone (PMS) colour matching system to achieve your required colour choice for your lapel pin and medal projects.
Give us details that indicate your colour choices using the Pantone PMS numbers.
You can prevent monitor and printers display problems by confirming your colour choice by consulting a Pantone (PMS) colour guide if possible.
For additional info on the Pantone (PMS) colour matching system, visit the Pantone site at www.pantone.co.uk
While most of the Pantone system colours are beyond the printed CMYK spectrum, those that are possible to
simulate through the CMYK process are labeled as such within the company's guides. Pantone colours are described
by their allocated number (PMS).
